Recap of The Lost Sentinel #audiobook blog blitz #fantasy

Yesterday was the one day blog blitz for The Lost Sentinel and I missed a couple of great reviews that came in after I posted last night. I didn’t want to miss sharing these so here are my favourite snippets and links to the full reviews.

‘…It was the accent, it gave the narrative such an extra beauty, and it transported me to the world that the author created, with such ease.Jess Bookish Life

‘A story in which the author’s world-building is exceptional, I was immersed in Tei’s story from beginning to end and the characters were fantastically developed. I thought Rike and Garrick were great! The fantasy world with the quest for Tei kept me gripped…’ Sharon beyond the books

Yesterday I shared links to other reviews in One day blog blitz and Part two one day blog blitz

I hope you’ve enjoyed these snippets. Here’s a sample of George Ellington’s narration and the prologue of The Lost Sentinel.

If these review snippets have you eager to learn more you can listen to Silent Sea Chronicles book 1 and 2 on Audible UK Audible USAmazon and iTunes. And book 3 with be out very soon.

I’ll leave you with the blurb, thanks for reading.

The magical island of Kalaya is dying, along with its Sentinel.

The Assembly controls Kalaya. Originally set up to govern, they now persecute those with magic and exile them to the Turrak Mountains.

Tei, a tailor’s daughter, has always hidden her magic, but when her father’s old friend visits and warns them to flee to the mountains, she must leave her old life behind.

On the journey, an attack leaves her father mortally wounded. He entrusts her into the care of the exiles and on his deathbed makes a shocking confession.

Struggling with self-doubt, Tei joins the exiles search for their new Sentinel who is the only person capable of restoring the fading magic. But mysterious Masked Riders are hunting the Sentinel too, and time, as well as hope, is running out.

Against mounting odds it will take friendship, heartache, and sacrifice for the exiles to succeed, but is Tei willing to risk everything to save the island magic?

If you like character-based fantasy, then you’ll love The Lost Sentinel – book one in the Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy.

Part Two of the One day blog blitz The Lost Sentinel #Audiobook #fantasy

As promised here’s part two of the blog tour blitz with a few more review snippets. First though, I would like to thank everyone who has taken part and of course Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for organising everything.

‘…the story is well told, and the characters are an interesting lot, with vivid descriptions of the people and scenery…’ Colin Garrow

‘…The narrator was very good, his changes in tone really gave the characters individuality and personality. it’s very poetic in places…’ Rosie Writes

‘…The author has done a great job at world building. It was interesting learning about Kalaya and its people…’ Bound4Escape

‘Fans of classic “sword and sorcery” will find a lot to love about Rogerson’s work. What is particularly delightful is that she manages to put a fresh spin on a classic genre. Her imaginative storytelling and creative world building combine to put a unique spin on the comfortingly familiar quest formula. I enjoyed getting lost in this immersive listening experience.’ Rev Rebecca Writes

One day blog blitz The Lost Sentinel #Audiobook #fantasy

Today I am excited to say the The Lost Sentinel Audiobook is being shown some love on the one day blog blitz arranged by Rachel’s Random Resources.

Some great reviews have already come in, here are some snippets.

‘…George Ellington as narrator for The Lost Sentinel is absolutely wonderful. His narration brings the authors writing to life and immerses listeners in the story…’ Lamon Reviews

‘…I found Rogerson to be adept at taking the reader along different character arcs without causing confusion, as each made an impression on me. I savoured my journey to the island of Kalaya as the rich description had me visualising the scenes with ease…’ Booky Charm

‘…The plot for this book was interesting and well thought out. It was well written and reminded me why I love underrated fantasy novels so much. There is some great world building…’ The Pufflekitteh Reads

‘…I love the concept of a Sentinel and Confidant pairing, and that these people are so important in keeping their magical home alive. I love the idea that mystics who die in battle can choose to stay in the astral in-between and continue to defend their island home, as several characters end up doing throughout the story…’ Westveil Publishing

I’ll be back with the rest later, but for now I’d just like to thank everyone who has read / listened to my books and reviewed them. It really means a lot that people enjoy my books.

Until later…

Merry Christmas. My gift to you a box set for £2.99

I hope everyone is well and attempting to make the best of a bad situation. 2020 has been hard and the hopes for a normal Christmas for many in the UK have been taken away at short notice. I’m sad not to be able to spend the day with my parents but completely support the decision. All we can do is look forward to a time when things can get back to normal.

I’m determined to keep positive and part of that for me is making plans to start publishing again in 2021. Very soon I will share these plans with you; I find it helps to record my goals, hoping by some miracle that telling the world will somehow make me stick to them!

Over the festive period I also want to share the books I’ve enjoyed in both fiction and non-fiction. I’ve smashed my target of 15 on Goodreads – I think by the end of the year I’ll have doubled that target.

For now I just want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I’ve also decided to discount my Silent Sea Chronicles box set to £2.99 worldwide for the rest of the year.

‘This is an amazing and epic fantasy trilogy, which will take you on an exciting, gripping and emotional journey!

#Newrelease #Audiobook The Sentinel’s Reign bk 2 #fantasy #Tuesdaybookblog

I’m excited to announce that Book 2 in Silent Sea Chronicles, The Sentinel’s Reign is out now in audio! It’s available in the usual places, Amazon, Audible US, Audible UK and iTunes.

If you’re looking for something to do over the Christmas break, how about diving into an epic fantasy audiobook?

‘I first read this book on Kindle and I loved it, I jumped at the chance to get this book on audible and to get it for free was even better! I absolutely love this book and cannot wait for the second in the series. There are so many questions that need to be answered. The narrator was really good and well suited to this story. He has an awesome voice and fantastic pacing.’ – The Lost Sentinel audio reviewed by Shawna

Here’s a sample for you to enjoy

The Sentinel’s reign is doomed to failure unless Tei can prevent the Kalayan people from plunging into war.

With the new Sentinel initiated and the magic restored on Kalaya, life is flourishing for Tei and the exiles. But Rathnor’s plans for war soon escalate and thwart any chance of peace.

Brogan’s position on the Assembly is uncertain as rumours circulate that he is an exile spy.

After an attempt on his life, Farrell is more determined than ever to build a home for his people on Stone Haven. But the council have their sights set on Kalaya and Farrell struggles to steer them from war.

As trouble brews within and outside forces gather against them, can the exiles keep their hold on the magic, or will this spell the end of Kalaya and its people?

The Lost Sentinel #Audiobook out now #fantasy #sff http://mybook.to/LostSentinel

Last week my writing journey reached another milestone; the first book in the Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy came out in audiobook. A few years ago I never dreamt this would be possible. Thanks to the wonderful narrator, George Ellington, Tei, Brogan, Farrell and the rest of the gang are here for you to enjoy.

The first review is up on Audible

5 Stars – ‘I first read this book on Kindle and I loved it, But when I found out it was being made into an audiobook I was anxious to listen. I know a good narrator can make a great story into an excellent story that is exactly what the narrator did in this book…’ Janalyn on Audible.

Check it out on audible to read more of this review.

Don’t forget if you have bought the eBook then you can get the audiobook at a fraction of the cost. I know this great discount works in Audible and I assume it’s now working on Amazon.

Take a look at this trailer for a tiny taste of what’s in store.

We are both so proud of this audiobook and would love to know what you think. Plus, book 2 is half way through production so it wont be long before you can listen to the first two parts in the trilogy. If you do pick up a copy, we’d love you to share a quick review to help others decide if it’s the book for them.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend everyone.
