As promised here’s part two of the blog tour blitz with a few more review snippets. First though, I would like to thank everyone who has taken part and of course Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for organising everything.

‘…the story is well told, and the characters are an interesting lot, with vivid descriptions of the people and scenery…’ Colin Garrow

‘…The narrator was very good, his changes in tone really gave the characters individuality and personality. it’s very poetic in places…’ Rosie Writes

‘…The author has done a great job at world building. It was interesting learning about Kalaya and its people…’ Bound4Escape

‘Fans of classic “sword and sorcery” will find a lot to love about Rogerson’s work. What is particularly delightful is that she manages to put a fresh spin on a classic genre. Her imaginative storytelling and creative world building combine to put a unique spin on the comfortingly familiar quest formula. I enjoyed getting lost in this immersive listening experience.’ Rev Rebecca Writes

If these review snippets have you eager to learn more you can listen to Silent Sea Chronicles book 1 and 2 on Audible UK Audible US, Amazon and iTunes. And book 3 with be out very soon.

Today I am excited to say the The Lost Sentinel Audiobook is being shown some love on the one day blog blitz arranged by Rachel’s Random Resources.

Some great reviews have already come in, here are some snippets.

‘…George Ellington as narrator for The Lost Sentinel is absolutely wonderful. His narration brings the authors writing to life and immerses listeners in the story…’ Lamon Reviews

‘…I found Rogerson to be adept at taking the reader along different character arcs without causing confusion, as each made an impression on me. I savoured my journey to the island of Kalaya as the rich description had me visualising the scenes with ease…’ Booky Charm

‘…The plot for this book was interesting and well thought out. It was well written and reminded me why I love underrated fantasy novels so much. There is some great world building…’ The Pufflekitteh Reads

‘…I love the concept of a Sentinel and Confidant pairing, and that these people are so important in keeping their magical home alive. I love the idea that mystics who die in battle can choose to stay in the astral in-between and continue to defend their island home, as several characters end up doing throughout the story…’ Westveil Publishing

Please click on the links to read the full reviews and check out the reviewers blogs.

I’ll be back with the rest later, but for now I’d just like to thank everyone who has read / listened to my books and reviewed them. It really means a lot that people enjoy my books.

Until later…

If you fancy a listen to Silent Sea Chronicles book 1 and 2 are out now on Audible UK Audible US, Amazon and iTunes.

I’m excited to announce that Book 2 in Silent Sea Chronicles, The Sentinel’s Reign is out now in audio! It’s available in the usual places, Amazon, Audible US, Audible UK and iTunes.

If you’re looking for something to do over the Christmas break, how about diving into an epic fantasy audiobook?

‘I first read this book on Kindle and I loved it, I jumped at the chance to get this book on audible and to get it for free was even better! I absolutely love this book and cannot wait for the second in the series. There are so many questions that need to be answered. The narrator was really good and well suited to this story. He has an awesome voice and fantastic pacing.’ – The Lost Sentinel audio reviewed by Shawna

Here’s a sample for you to enjoy

The Sentinel’s reign is doomed to failure unless Tei can prevent the Kalayan people from plunging into war.

With the new Sentinel initiated and the magic restored on Kalaya, life is flourishing for Tei and the exiles. But Rathnor’s plans for war soon escalate and thwart any chance of peace.

Brogan’s position on the Assembly is uncertain as rumours circulate that he is an exile spy.

After an attempt on his life, Farrell is more determined than ever to build a home for his people on Stone Haven. But the council have their sights set on Kalaya and Farrell struggles to steer them from war.

As trouble brews within and outside forces gather against them, can the exiles keep their hold on the magic, or will this spell the end of Kalaya and its people?

The audio tour for The Lost Sentinel ran last week from 8th to 15th November. A big thanks to Jess the Audiobookworm for organising everything.

Today I wanted to share the finalised schedule and links to all the blogs involved. Thank you to these lovely people who shared audio samples, author and narrator interviews, reviews and spotlight features. I certainly found George’s interview interesting, it’s not everyday you get to hear from a narrator’s perspective. Click on the links below to find out more.

Nov. 8th:

Westveil Publishing (Review)
Sadie’s Spotlight (Spotlight, Audio Excerpt)

‘…oh my goodness, I must gush about this voice! George Ellington’s smooth Scottish accent gave the story a medieval highland feel that I think suited it very well. Criticize the world-building for being simply “medieval Europe but magic” if you wish, but I didn’t mind at all, and I couldn’t imagine a more appropriate regional accent to bring this story to life. Even if I hadn’t enjoyed the story, I would have listened to the end just to hear Mr. Ellington keep reading it!’ Quote from Westveil review link above…

Nov. 9th:

Nesie’s Place (Spotlight, Audio Excerpt, Narrator Interview)

Nov. 10th:

Jazzy Book Reviews (Spotlight, Audio Excerpt, Author Interview)

I’ve been so busy editing my new project and reading how-to books on writing a series that I’ve completely forgotten to share some great events that are taking place at the moment.

Firstly, Visions of Zarua is on sale for a limited time at just 99p worldwide on Amazon.

With the audiobook also out, you can get a huge discount if you purchase both. An audiobook for just £2.99 is a bargain! Audible.

I’m also excited to announce that the first audiobook tour will be taking place in November with Audiobookworm. Here’s the tour link to check the details and sign up.

The audiobook has only been out a few weeks and we’re eager to see what listeners think, so if you fancy a free review copy why not sign up and join in the fun in November.

Here’s a sample of George Ellington in action…

If November is too soon to commit to listening and reviewing fear not, there will be more opportunities in January 2021 in the form of a 1 day blitz with Rachel’s Random Resources. More details on this to follow.

And I’m excited to say the production of book 2 The Sentinel’s Reign is coming on really well, fingers crossed we can get it out before Christmas.

Last week my writing journey reached another milestone; the first book in the Silent Sea Chronicles trilogy came out in audiobook. A few years ago I never dreamt this would be possible. Thanks to the wonderful narrator, George Ellington, Tei, Brogan, Farrell and the rest of the gang are here for you to enjoy.

The first review is up on Audible

5 Stars – ‘I first read this book on Kindle and I loved it, But when I found out it was being made into an audiobook I was anxious to listen. I know a good narrator can make a great story into an excellent story that is exactly what the narrator did in this book…’ Janalyn on Audible.

Check it out on audible to read more of this review.

Don’t forget if you have bought the eBook then you can get the audiobook at a fraction of the cost. I know this great discount works in Audible and I assume it’s now working on Amazon.

Take a look at this trailer for a tiny taste of what’s in store.

We are both so proud of this audiobook and would love to know what you think. Plus, book 2 is half way through production so it wont be long before you can listen to the first two parts in the trilogy. If you do pick up a copy, we’d love you to share a quick review to help others decide if it’s the book for them.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend everyone.
